About Us

Crewkerne Outdoor Toy Centre is a family run business, situated on a working farm on the Devon, Dorset and Somerset border.
Located in the village of Clapton, a rural village setting just two miles from Crewkerne, eight miles from Chard and twelve miles from Axminster, Bridport, Lyme Regis and Yeovil.

We first opened in April 2005, after having run Crewkerne Bouncy Castles for seven years.
We then had the opportunity to buy the former ‘Bere Farm Activity Toy Centre’, near Chard (which had been trading for 25 years), and a vast wealth of product knowledge and experience has been passed on.
We still operate our bouncy castle hire today, and can now offer interactive sets and garden games for hire also.

Our aim is to provide everything you need to entertain your family in your own back garden.
Having four children ourselves, we are fully aware of children’s needs and the ‘I want it now’ syndrome! If children see something they like they do not want to wait for it to be ordered.
Bearing this in mind we keep large quantities of stock from most products across the range, with the exception of large climbing frames, which are usually delivered direct to your home address.
We have a team of experienced fitters, and offer a full fitting/construction service if needed. This is provided locally for customers in Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

Judith Johnson oversee`s the day-to-day running of the Toy Centre, with help from the family – especially the younger children to test out the play equipment, and any new items, which arrive in the shop!
Over the years we have expanded the business. We have extended the display area, and now have a much larger toyshop with plenty of parking just outside.

Open all day Saturday, and Sunday morning. Closed this bank holiday Monday - 4th May.

We are here most days, usual opening times, however occasionaly (any unforeseen events) we may have to close for a day.
